Filter Rules provide generic filtering functionality for the system. One use of the Filter Rules is with attribute-based pricing for products (a customer who meets the filter rule requirements is given a specific price).
Note that Aptify automatically generates Filter Rules records and Filter Rule Items sub-type records when a user creates a new filter rule in a container entity (such as Product Prices or Sales Tax). A user or administrator should not have to create these records manually.
The Attachments tab lists any files relevant to the Filter Rules record.
Filter Rule Items Tab
The Filter Rule Items tab displays the filter rule statements that the user specified for this Filter Rule. These are the filter statements that are joined together using the Logic String field. See About the Filter Rule Items Form for more information.
The name of the Filter Rule. When creating new records, Aptify automatically sets the Name (as determined by the developer who wrote the filter rule evaluation logic, otherwise, Aptify inserts the default name specified in the Filter Rule UI form template part's Input Map).
A description of the Filter Rule. When creating new records, Aptify automatically sets the Description if specified by the developer who wrote the filter rule evaluation logic. Otherwise, the description is left blank.
Filter Rule Type
This field defines the Filter Rule Type that applies to this filter rule. See About the Filter Rule Types Form for more information.
The Logic String field is used to combine the Filter Rule Items. The default logic string combines all of the Filter Rule Items with an AND operator.
Logic String Generated
This option is selected if Aptify automatically generated the logic string. It is cleared if a user modified the default logic.
