Setting the Default Address as Preferred Billing Address

Starting Aptify release 7.3, users are able to set the company default address as per the address set in Preferred Billing Address. This improvement is implemented for both Aptify Smart Client and Aptify Web application.

To enable this functionality, an attribute - “SetPreferredBillingAddressAsDefaultAddress” is provided under Companies entity.  Set the value of the attribute to 1 to enable preferred billing address as default address. 

Below steps showcase the implementation of this feature:

1. Log in to Aptify Web application.
2. Go to Framework->Entities and search Companies entity record.
3. Go to Companies entity record Configuration->Attributes and set the parameter “SetPreferredBillingAddressAsDefaultAddress” to "1".
4. Go to Company service and create a new record.
5. Enter the required field details along with PO Box Address.

6. Set Pref.Bill Addr as PO Box Address and save the record.

7. Re-open the newly created record and verify that the PO BOX Address is set as default address.
   

8. To add a new value to the Preferred Billing Address, open the Companies entity through Smart Client and edit the PreferredBillingAddress field. On the Values tab, add a new value, for example, “Test Address”. Save and close the entity.

9. Open the company record created in step 2 and create a new address with the same name that is “Test Address” in the record. Fill the address lines.

10. Select the Pref.Bill Addr as "Test Address" and save and close the record.

11. Re-open the record and verify that the "Test Address" is set as the default address.
