Viewing the Person Records Side-by-Side

A new functionality to view person entity records side-by-side has been introduced in Aptify Web release 7.5. This feature allows users to open and view multiple records at the same time within the same browser window — making it easier to compare details, reference information, and work more efficiently across records.

To achieve this, a new button named "Open Modal" has been introduced in Person Details window. This allows users to compare multiple person records simultaneously through pop-up modals.

Additionally, this feature also allows the user to edit and save the last pop-up which has been opened.  

This documentation explains the process of using the Side-by-Side record functionality in the system. 

Steps to Use the Functionality

1. To enable the feature, run the following process flows from the Smart Client application:
   • Form Template UI Parts
   • Entity Metadata
   • UI Part Metadata Items
     After the above processes are run, the "Open Modal" button appears in the Person Record Action Module.
     
2. Click "Open Modal" button, a popup window with all person record details appears. The popup includes a toolbar with a Save button on the top. You can minimize or close the popup using the controls at the top right corner. Double-clicking the title bar expands the popup to full screen. You can also resize the popup vertically and horizontally by dragging.
   
3. To open another record, navigate to another person's record and click "Open Modal" button again. A new popup will open with similar functionality. You can compare both records side by side and open more popups for additional comparisons.
   

Saving Records

To edit and save a person record, use the Save button on the pop-up modal.

Note:

• The Save button is only enabled for the last opened pop-up.
• The Save button is disabled for previously opened pop-ups.
• To save changes in an earlier pop-up, you must close and reopen that specific record.
