About the Departments Form

This service stores the set of organizational departments that can be assigned to employees.

Attachments Tab

This tab stores any files relevant to this record.

Comments Tab

This tab stores any additional comments about the department.

General Tab

Name

The name of the department.

Description

A description of the department.

Manager

The department's manager. This field links to the Employees service.

Parent

The department's parent department. This field links to another record in the Departments service. An organization can use this field to build a hierarchy of departments that match an organization's structure.
