The Floorplans form contains relevant information about the dimensions of the floorplan as well as the size and arrangement of related booths.
Attachments Tab
The Attachments tab lists any files relevant to the Floorplans record.
Booths Tab
The Booths tab lists all Booths records that define the booths configured for the floorplan. This tab is only available once the floorplan has been saved. A user can launch the Booth Generator from this tab if booths have not previously been added to this floorplan. See About the Booth Generator Form.
Comments Tab
The Comments Tab lists any additional details relevant to the Floorplans record.
General Tab
Name (required)
This field contains the name of the floorplan.
Description
A description of the floorplan is located in this field.
Venue (required)
The Venue field indicates the location of the floorplan (such as a convention center or exposition hall). This field links to the Venues service.
Floorplan System
This field indicates if a floorplan's layout is maintained in a third-party system (such as ExpoCAD). It links to the Floorplan Systems service. See About the Floorplan Systems Form.
Number of Booths (read-only)
The Number of Booths field automatically displays the number of booths listed on the Booths tab.
Unallocated Booths (read-only)
The Unallocated Booths field automatically displays the number of booths in the floorplan that are not currently assigned to customers.
Number of Units (read-only)
The Number of Units field automatically displays the total number of booth units in the floorplan. This number is usually larger than the value in Number of Booths because booths can be made up of more than one unit.
Unallocated Units (read-only)
The Unallocated Units field automatically displays the number of booth units that are not assigned to customers. This information can help gauge how much more income the organization will earn by selling the remaining booths in the floorplan.
Unit Of Measure
The value selected in the Unit Of Measure field indicates how the parameters of the floorplan and associated booths within the floorplan are defined. Standard options are Feet, Yards, or Meters.
Width
The width of the entire floorplan is based on the units of measure selected above. The default is zero.
Length
The length of the entire floorplan is based on the units of measure selected above. The default is zero.
Scale Fields
This field is reserved for future use.
Page Scale
This field is reserved for future use.
Drawing Scale
This field is reserved for future use.
Booth Settings Area
The fields in the Booth Settings area of the General tab define the characteristics of the booth. The floorplan status for the associated floorplan determines whether the booth setting are editable or read-only.
Default Width
The default width of a booth is based on the unit of measure set in the Unit of Measure field on the Floorplan form.
Default Length
The default length of a booth is based on the unit of measure set in the Unit of Measure field on the Floorplan form.
Default Units
This number indicates the default number of units that make up a booth. Units correspond to booth size and are used to determine the relative prices of different booths.
Next Booth Name
The name in this field is used as the booth prefix by the Booth Generator.
Booth Increment
This field is reserved for future use.
Status
The Status field contains the planning stage for the floorplan. This field links to the Floorplan Status service. The status selected determines whether booths associated with this floorplan can be edited or assigned. See About the Floorplan Status Form.
Allow Copies
If the Allow Copies option is selected, the Floorplan record can be copied, using the New Floorplan wizard or Floorplan Copy wizard, to create a duplicate floorplan. This option is selected by default.
If the option is cleared, the floorplan record is not available for copying when a user runs one of the floorplan wizards.
