The following is a list of business applications supported in latest Aptify version:

 

About Customer Management in the Web Interface

This topic lists the Customer Management application functions that are supported and unsupported in the Aptify web interface. Please refer to the table below for a breakdown of supported/unsupported functionality by release.

  • Outlook Synchronization wizard
  • Ability to add person/company phones is not supported.
  • Copy Address /Phone to clipboard is not supported.

 

About Order Entry in the Web Interface

This topic describes the Order Entry functions that are supported and unsupported in the Aptify web interface.

  • Batch wizards for Orders and Payments
    • Orders and Payments that are part of a batch are marked as such and any accounting related fields cannot be modified, just like in the Desktop client. Added a GL Entry Details tab for the web interface, which provides the ability to view transaction data for each account in the batch. See Creating General Ledger Batches in the Web Interface for more details. 
  • Default Address Settings: Currently in the Aptify Desktop client, if a default address is specified through the Address Default Settings dialog, it takes precedence over the Preferred Address settings when invoking the address flow down feature on Orders form. This feature is not supported.

  • Shipping and Handling: Supports full shipping and handling functions.

  • Sales Tax: sales tax functions is fully support in the web interface.

  • Multi-Currency Support: Available for applications and services that are supported on the web interface. For example, orders and payments can be taken in different currency types.

    Note

    When orders and payments are saved against the appropriate spot rate in the web interface. However, the Mark to Market wizard is not supported, and must be run from the Aptify Desktop client.

  • Campaigns and Meeting Sessions: When ordering Campaigns for Orders that include sessions, Campaigns cannot be applied as they are normally in the Aptify Desktop client. Users will need to open each session from the order line and add the Campaign separately.

  • Ordering Expo Products: Calculation of surcharge amounts when a booth with a surcharge is specified on a new order is supported. Modification of surcharge amounts in an existing order line must be done through the Aptify Desktop client.

  • Searching for Orders from the Payments Form: Is supported.
  • Supported Payment Methods: BluePay, CardPointe, Google Pay.
  • ePayment Capture wizard: Aptify recommends you use automate this process using the ePayment Capture Process Flow.
  • Manual Order Cancellation: The manual cancellation of orders is not supported.
  • Payment Difference wizard.
  • Marked to Market wizard.
  • Batch Record: Currently, Web does not have ability to adjust the effective date/time on batch records. By default, it takes the current date and time.
  • Order Entity Attributes "AllowPoChanges" And "AllowPoChanges" are not supported.
  • Negative Pricing: New Orders do not accept Negative price (including New Order wizard)

 

About Product Maintenance in the Web Interface

About Accounting and Financial Systems in the Web Interface

This topic describes the Accounting and Financial Systems functions that are supported and unsupported in the Aptify web interface.

  • Sales Tax: Support for sales tax functions in the web interface is limited, as described below:

    • Tax Detail Windows: Users can view the Tax Details dialog.
    • Tax-Included Products: Does not support product prices that include tax.
    • Sales Tax Calculations: When making changes to an order that impact the sales tax characteristics, the sales tax is not recalculated until the order is saved.

  • Multi-Currency Support: Available for applications and services that are supported on the web interface. For example, orders and payments can be taken in different currency types.

  • Tax Calculations: Addition of Shipping and Handling charges when the Charges Include Tax option is selected on a Shipment Type's Matrix record is supported.

  • Scheduled Transactions: Limited support for Scheduled Transactions and similar accounting tasks. For example, you cannot expand Scheduled Transactions records, this must be done through the Aptify Desktop client or automated using a scheduled task.

  • Searching for Orders from the Payments Form: A Order Search button is available starting in the 5.5,5 release and above.
  • Cash Control Batches and associated Accounting tasks
    • Specifying a Cash Control Batch ID for payment (either on an order or through the Payments service) is supported.

Unsupported Functionality

  • Other than the above supported features under Accounting Management application, rest is still managed using Desktop Client like managing Cash basis accounting, managing accounting periods, integrating with accounting system etcetera. 
  • ePayment Capture wizard - Though the wizard is not supported, Aptify has delivered a process flow and a scheduled task to automate the ePayment capture process for the web interface. See Scheduling ePayment Capturing for more information.
  • Mark to Market wizard is not supported and must be run from the Aptify Desktop client.
  • Account Manager Transfer Wizard is not supported and must be run from the Aptify Desktop client.
  • Payment Difference Wizard is not supported and must be run from the Aptify Desktop client.

 

About Campaign Management in the Web Interface

    Aptify includes only limited support for Expos in the Aptify web interface. You can order an expo product and create basic Expos records; however, you cannot generate booths, or run any of the wizards associated with the Expo Management application including the Booth Combination and Floorplan Synchronization wizard.
