View Management - Transfer View(s) to New User
Transfer Views to New User Wizard
It would be super helpful to have a wizard for changing view ownership from one users to another. I'd see this view pretty basic:
- Step 1: Select From User and To User
- Step 2: Select the Views to Transfer, should have a quick ALL checkbox or something to easily select all.
The wizard would then correctly update the View Category Ownership (IF all views are selected, else see if a Category with same name exists, else create new category w/same name) and View Ownership.
This would be really handy for position changes or job role changes.
New User Creation Wizard
As well, would love to see this baked into the User Wizard, not ONLY when creating a new user. Anything after the user is created should just use the wizard.
This would also make it much easier for Dev to re-assign views in bulk and can be done 100% in Aptify Web.
View Properties Ownership Reassignment
If you are the owner of a view, there should be something in the view properties, maybe a new tab, that lets you re-assign the view to a different user. This should allow you to select the user, and then select from an existing category of the to user or create a new category

I reckon an EBO on views can do bulk view re-assignment.
To add to this would love an option to set up a new view category for the new user with the move over that the views would get added to. This would allow if someone leaves the organization they could be moved to someone temporarily and have a category to know that those were the views that were moved over. They could then update them if needed in the interim time. Then when the position is filled again we would know the views to move to that new person without having to track the views somewhere.
Just saying, couple staff members got married and were updating user names. It really sucks that we need to delete the users in SQL, create the new user and then manually/ebo/script updating all the view categories and then all the views to the new owner IDs.
