Views - Filter Values to Support SQL for DateTime and Text Fields

If the field type is a Number then your able to do sub-selects for the values directly in the Value of a Views filters. This is incredibly handy for not having to do Advanced SQL views. I would LOVE a way to do this for all the other field types. Like for Dates, I would love to be able to use the EOMONTH function or CAST('' AS DATE). Same for Text fields, would love to be able to add an In List and write the query. The amount of Advanced SQL views would drop quite considerably if we could do this.
