Aptify 7.4 Resolved Issues

This document contains the bug fix descriptions for Aptify 7.4 release and is divided into the following categories:

Business Application Improvements

SSRS Print Button Only Prints First Page

In the Aptify Web application, an issue was identified with the printing functionality of SSRS reports. When users clicked the print button at the top left of the report, only the first and last pages were printed. This issue has now been resolved. After the fix, the entire report prints as expected.

Screenpop Functionality Not Working

In previous versions of Aptify Web application, the ScreenPop functionality was not working as expected. This release includes code updates that have restored the ScreenPop service, ensuring it now functions as intended.

Tax Jurisdiction State/Provinces Drop Down Does Not Filter by Country

In Aptify Web application, on the Tax Jurisdiction form, when users entered a country, the "State Province" drop-down did not get filtered based on the country selected. Instead, it incorrectly showed all the States/Provinces in the drop-down. This issue has been resolved.

Copy Dashboard Button Tooltip Is Unclear

In Aptify release 7.4, the Copy Dashboard button's tooltip has been changed from "Create Dashboard" to “Create Personal Dashboard Copy” to avoid confusion and provide clarity to the users

Search Term History Not Generated

In Aptify Web application, when users carried out Global search operations, the search records were not being created in the Search Term History service. This issue has now been addressed.

Update Aptify.LMS.dll with AMP Zoom Change and Field Reference

In Aptify release 7.4, LMS code changes have been implemented to fix errors faced during registration of Zoom event.

Aptify web Can't login (Azure Improvement)

An authentication issue was identified when logging into Azure Aptify Web application, where users were directed to Office 365 (O365) for authentication and then redirected back to the login screen. In this release, code changes have been made to address this issue. After the fix, users will no longer be directed to O365 when logging into the Aptify Web application hosted on Azure.

Upgrade Setup Removes Web Authentication Provider (Installer Improvement)

During the upgrade to versions 7.2/7.3, it was discovered that the authentication provider record for Web User in the service application was missing in the Aptify database setup. This release reinstates the missing authentication provider record. Post-fix, the service application will no longer encounter issues related to the authentication provider.

Viewing System Improvements

Sorting a View Changes Column Width and Alignment

In the Aptify Web application, a UI issue was identified when sorting batch views by the ID column. The column width would shrink, causing the sorted views to shift to the left, leaving blank spaces on the right side of the screen. This UI issue has now been resolved, and the sorted batch views are displayed correctly.

Pivot table view support for AD user (Azure)

Fixes has been done in this release to support Pivot Table View for Azure AD users. In previous versions, the pivot table view was not working as expected.

Parentheses in Prompted Dropdown Filter in Views Don't Appear

An issue was identified in Aptify Web application with prompt views that used parentheses in filter value. In these cases, the filter value did not appear in the drop-down. This issue has now been resolved. The filter value now appears in the drop-down and returns results correctly.

Problems Adding and Ordering Fields in Views

An issue was identified in the Aptify web application where selected fields were not being placed at the desired position when specified through View Properties -> Field tab. This problem occurred with both the drag-and-drop functionality and the use of the > or < buttons. This issue has now been resolved. After the fix, the selected fields are positioned correctly.

Must Click Fields Before Dragging and Dropping

In the Aptify Web application, the View Properties drag-and-drop functionality was not working as expected. When users attempted to drag a field from the left window to right window, or vice versa, the field failed to move. This issue has been resolved. After the fix, the drag-and-drop functionality moves fields to the desired location, even if the fields are not selected first.

Prompt View Does Not Load Data for Second Run

In the Aptify Web application, there was an issue identified with prompt views when the "Is Load Advanced SQL" option was selected. If a user attempted to load a prompt view for the second time with new values, the view failed to load, and the cursor spun continuously without displaying data. This issue has now been resolved.

View Properties, 'Move All Fields' Button Leaves One Field behind

In the Aptify Web application, while specifying the view fields through View Properties->Fields tab, the buttons << and >> did not transfer all Available fields to the Selected fields window, one of the fields was left behind. Code changes have been done to fix this issue. Now, whenever users click the << or >> buttons on the Fields tab of the View Properties, all the fields move to the desired side of the Fields tab.

Permission Error for Customized View

In the Aptify Web application, an issue was identified with customized views consisting of multiple table joins created using advanced SQL. When these views were accessed from Web application, an error - "You do not have permissions to access the view" was encountered. This issue has been addressed.

Set enableViewPaginationDiskCache to False by Default

In Aptify Web application, the default value of attribute - Aptify.framework.configuration.enableViewPaginationDiskCache has now been set to False. This attribute enables disk caching for view and previously had no default value which led to issues. To enable this feature, users must set the value of the attribute to True in Aptify.Framework.COnfiguration.External.js file.

Wizard Improvements

Reports Window Doesn't Resize to Show All Categories

UI improvements have been implemented in the Reports Wizard of the Aptify web application to ensure all report categories are displayed. The wizard now automatically resizes based on the number of report categories. Previously, if there were many report categories, not all were displayed, and users had to manually resize the wizard window to view all the reports.

Suppress Confirmation Email Not Working for Bulk Order Quotations

In Aptify Desktop and Web applications, when users created bulk order for quotation through the Bulk Order Wizard and selected "Suppress Confirmation Email" checkbox. The messaging tab of the created order did not show the "Suppress Confirmation Email" checkbox as selected. This issue has now been resolved.

Messaging Wizard Does Not Work on Meeting Registrants Tab

In Aptify Web application, the Messaging wizard on the Meeting Registration tab did not work as expected. When users selected the Messaging wizard from the Actions menu, the wizard did not open. Code changes has been done to resolve this issue, now the Messaging wizard opens correctly upon selection.

Bulk Order Wizard Issue with Contact Selection Mode

In the Aptify Web application, in Companies services, when a bulk order was created for a Company, and later the record was modified to change the value of "Contact Selection Mode" for example from Lowest ID to Highest ID, the Customer tab listing did not reflect the changed option, it showed the listing based on the earlier value that is Lowest ID. This issue has now been resolved.

Records Lose Selection After Running Wizards

An issue was identified in the Aptify Web application when running the Entity Bulk Wizard after selecting records from the Persons view. Previously, the selection of records was lost upon completion of the wizard. This issue has now been resolved, and the selected records remain intact after the wizard is run.

Orders and Payments Improvements

Can't Modify existing Products which has Past Revenue Recognition Date

In previous Aptify releases, the Product Deferred GL Account functionality was enhanced to add a new validation for the Deferred Income GL account. This enhancement caused a side-effect which is addressed in this release. The validation previously prevented saving the product for valid scenarios such as unchecking “Currently Sold” checkbox or adding a comment. This issue has now been resolved. This fix will be applicable only to newly created products.

Extended Price Reverts to Product Price

In previous versions of the Aptify Web application, an issue was identified where the extended price of an order line product would correctly update after editing the quantity and clicking near the edit checkbox. However, the price would revert when the checkbox was selected to save the order. This issue has been resolved by code changes. Now, after editing the quantity, the extended price updates and displays correctly.

Initial Payment Amount Resets to Zero For Free Products

In Aptify Smart Client and Web application, an issue was identified with the initial payment amount field. When an order line record containing a free product was modified to add the initial payment amount, upon saving the record, the initial payment amount field would reset to zero. This issue has been resolved.

Now, the initial payment amount does not reset to zero for free products and the new price is reflected correctly.

GetRecord Endpoint adds Extra Line for Multiline Fields

In the Aptify Web application, a fix has been implemented to remove extra white lines that were being added in the Description field of all the entities when the description was long.

Smart Client (Desktop) Improvements

Updating Order Line Address Does Not Recalculate Tax

In the Aptify Smart (Desktop) Client application, when a user modified the address/state of an order line’s "Ship To Person" field, the new address was not auto-populating with the state and zip code. This prevented the tax from being recalculated based on the new address/state. This issue has been resolved. Now, the tax gets recalculated correctly when the order line address/state is updated.

Correction to Address flowdown issue

In Aptify Desktop application, an issue was identified with the address flow down functionality. While creating a new order, when user selected "Ship to Company", in the Order Addresses section, only Address 1 and Address 2 fields were displayed. This issue has now been resolved. After the fix, the full address of the company along with the city, state, zip code and other address details flows down properly.

Attributes.xml SuggestedTrusted Value Not Respected

In Aptify Desktop Client application, in attributes.xml file, when the value of attribute "Aptify.Framework.LoginServices.AptifyLogin.SuggestedTrusted" was set to True, the Database Login Information radio button "Use Windows Integrated Security" did not get selected by default upon launching the Desktop Client application. Code changes have been made to the Login file within Aptify Login project to address this issue. Now when the value of the attribute is set to true, the “Use Windows Integrated Security” database login options is selected correctly

Update Metadata.dll to Accept Null Values

In this release, code changes have been made to update Metadata.dll to accept Null values. Previously, due to presence of null values in culture setting, Aptify Smart Client application was unable to load.

Packing/Unpacking Entities Removes Permissions from Applications Entity

In Aptify Desktop application an issue was identified with CM pack for entities. Previously, when users changed the group permission of an application's entity, these permissions were removed upon unpacking the CM pack. This issue has now been addressed. The fix ensures that unpacking the CM pack no longer removes the group permissions assigned to the application's entity.
