About the Contacts Form

The Contacts record tracks information about the contact people related to a particular opportunity. These records appear under the Opportunities record's Contacts tab. See Contacts Tab.

General Tab

Company (Required)

The contact person's company. This field links to the Companies service. Typically, most Contacts are at the primary company for the opportunity but there can be situations where other third-party organizations are involved as well.

Contact (Required)

The contact person. This field links to the Persons service.

Contact Role Type (Required)

The contact person's role in the decision-making process for this opportunity. This field links to the Contact Role Types service (see About the Contact Role Types Form).

Position

The contact person's current attitude concerning the opportunity. Standard options include Very Positive, Positive, Neutral, Negative, and Very Negative. An organization can use this field to gauge the likelihood that an opportunity will be won based on the position of the interested parties.

Description

This field is for specifying any additional information about the contact person.
