About the Line Items Form

Line Items records track the expected value of an opportunity based on the latest negotiations with the customer. These records appear on an Opportunities record's Line Items tab. See Line Items Tab.

Comments Tab

This tab stores any additional information regards this Line Item.

General Tab

Product

If the Detail Level is set to Product (as defined on the Opportunities record's Details tab), this field specifies a product that is being solicited as part of this opportunity. This field links to the Products service.

Product Category

If the Detail Level is set to Category (as defined on the Opportunities record's Details tab), this field specifies a product category that is being solicited as part of this opportunity. This field links to the Product Categories service.

Min. Amount

The minimum amount expected for this specified line item if the opportunity is won.

Est. Amount

The best guess estimate for this specified line item if the opportunity is won. Typically, this is somewhere between the maximum and minimum amounts.

Max Amount

The maximum amount expected for this specified line item if the opportunity is won.

Manager Amount

The expected amount for this specified line item from a manager's perspective as opposed to the salespersons.
